  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp Garni Dhaniya Powder
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Garni Black Pepper Powder
  • Salt

Note: You need a steamer to make momos.

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually add water to the mixture and keep kneading it to form a soft dough.
  2. Then, cover the dough and leave it be for about half an hour.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. In a pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add the diced garlic and the grated pieces of ginger.
  4. Sauté the ingredients for a minute or so.
  5. Now, add paneer to the pan. Keep the same heat until it is soft and has blended with the flavours of ginger and garlic somewhat.
  6. Add green chillies, soy sauce, Garni Dhaniya Powder, salt, and Garni Black Pepper Powder to the mixture.
  7. Mix it all well and keep cooking for another couple minutes.
  8. Now, turn off the heat and let it cool.
  9. Divide the rested dough into small portions and roll each portion into a circle about 3-4 inches in diameter.
  10. Place a spoonful of the filling mixture in the center of each rolled dough circle.
  11. To shape the momos, begin by folding the circle in half and sealing the edges to form a half-moon shape. Then, fold the edges to seal them completely.
  12. Repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling.
  13. Steam the momos in a steamer for about 8-10 minutes until they become translucent and cooked thoroughly.
  14. Serve the momos hot with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as soy sauce, chili sauce, or tomato chutney.

Enjoy your homemade momos!
